On Monday, March 11, 2024, A Permanent Voice in Collaboration with The US Attorney’s Office:District of Arizona (Department Of Justice) will host our monthly Listening Session. (Flyer is attached) Please share with others! Let’s get our community educated and IN THE KNOW! 
Our special guest agency will be the Department of Child Safety (DCS). Although the organization is not a direct LAW ENFORCEMENT agency, their goal is to make sure SAFETY happens for our children in ALL communities!
Topics Include:

Community’s understanding of the term protective parent.

 
What is the role of DCS as it pertains to reunification?
 
When a child states they want to remain in a specific home, are their voices heard as well as taken into consideration before being removed?
 
We know several challenges that are faced in our immediate communities and we want to hear from the public!
 
We also know there are several “personal” challenges community members face; we’ll have a comment box where you can share your thoughts and receive a follow-up from a specified representative. ***Please note there is no guarantee of what the DCS Representative and United States Attorney Office representatives will be able to provide to you on that evening; but will do their best to address concerns in a timely manner.

We are starting our New Year of Community Conversation Listening Session on a HIGH NOTE!

On Monday, January 22, 2024, A Permanent Voice in Collaboration with The US Attorney’s Office:District of Arizona (Department Of Justice) will host our monthly Listening Session. (Flyer is attached)

Our special guest agency will be the US MARSHALS (VAN BAYLESS, Acting US Marshal for Arizona (the highest person at the Marshals office) and is excited to attend. He’s driving up from Tucson for the meeting.)

Topics Include:
Community’s knowledge of the Witness Security Program a.k.a Witness Protection Program? How can individuals and/or families get protection who are not actively participating in the program? What funding, if any, is available to assist individuals and/or families?

What is the role of the US Marshals as it pertains to identifying and evaluating assets that represent proceeds of a crime?

Upon apprehending a fugitive; what measures are enforced to ensure the safety of the surrounding community?

We know several challenges that are faced in our immediate communities and we want to hear from the public!

We also know there are several “personal” challenges community members face; we’ll have a comment box where you can share your thoughts and receive a follow-up from a specified representative. ***Please note there is no guarantee of what the US Marshals and United States Attorney Office representatives will be able to provide to you on that evening; but will do their best to address concerns in a timely manner.

Community perspective of how the relationship between law enforcement and faith based leaders affect community engagement productivity.
What role, if any, do faith based leaders have as it pertains to law enforcement policy making?

What specific community issue(s) do faith based leaders and law enforcement place value on? What realistic strategies are in place for intervention or prevention?

We know several challenges that are faced in our immediate communities and we want to hear from the public!

We also know there are several “personal” challenges community members face; we’ll have a comment box where you can share your thoughts and receive a follow-up from a specified representative. ***Please note there is no guarantee of what the Faith Based and Law Enforcement representatives will be able to provide to you on that evening; but will do their best to address concerns in a timely manner.

Our special guest Law Enforcement Agency will be the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF). 🙂

Topics include:

  • Community knowledge of guns and explosives trafficking within their immediate community.
  • How are such harmful items such as guns, tobacco, and explosives released into communities? How does the ATF prevent or intervene?
  • When SWAT teams are deployed to serve warrants or assist with investigations; are negotiation tactics priority?

We know several challenges that are faced in our immediate communities and we want to hear from the public!

We also know there are several “personal” challenges community members face; we’ll have a comment box where you can share your thoughts and receive a follow-up from a specified representative. ***Please note there is no guarantee of what the US Attorney’s Office reps or Phx PD reps will be able to provide to you on that evening; but will do their best to address concerns in a timely manner.

A Permanent Voice in Collaboration with Paint Phoenix Purple invites you to join us on Sunday, October 29, 2023, as we embark on a journey to bring awareness and positive light to the South Phoenix Community about two very dark life challenges.

This WALK/CELEBRATION is a FREE event and will be our very first initiative to bring awareness to the lack of resources for Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence in the South Phoenix Community!

The event is also geared to bring the voices of our community together to show love and support of those affected by Breast Cancer & Domestic Violence.

The walk will begin at 1:30pm (meeting on the NW Corner of 24th Street and Roeser Road in Phoenix, AZ) This is a DROP OFF ONLY LOCATION. Please have your friends/family drop you off at the meeting point, there’s parking available at Esteban.

We will walk to Esteban Park located at 3345 E. Roeser Road Phoenix AZ 85040 and there ALL of the FESTIVITIES will begin!

There will be food trucks, community resource tables, live music, healing and meditation, survivor stories, and so much more!

Our main event will be a SURVIVORS BASKETBALL SHOWDOWN! BALLIN’ ON BREAST CANCER & DUNKIN’ ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!

T-shirts will be available for pick-up and/or delivery (depending on location) one-week prior to the event.

  • Community perspective of law enforcement protecting citizens from public officials
  • Community responsibility of reporting organized crimes: Is it truly the responsibility of the community to report?
  • Community knowledge of civil rights violations: Do you know when your rights are being violated?

We know several challenges that are faced in our immediate communities and we want to hear from the public!

We also know there are several “personal” challenges community members face, so we’ll have a comment box where you can share your thoughts and receive a follow-up from a Department of Justice representative.
